Vismara 80 White Dumbo

The Frers Vismara 80 “WHITE DUMBO” i san elegant Fast Cruiser in Full Carbon (hull, deck and mast) with lifting keel (from 2.40 to 4.00 mt) that can guarantee an easy access even in harbours with shallow waters.

Launched in 2009 and designed by Mani Frers, son of German Frers, in collaboration with Alessandro Vismara, this Vismara V80 is a high performing and hi-tech One-Off ocean cruiser built in prepreg by Luciano Corradi Costruzioni Nautiche, under the supervision of naval architect Valerio Galigani. This unit’s water lines represent an evolution of the Wally 77’, although with a more classic touch and reverse stern with hydraulic swim platform.

WHITE DUMBO is characterized by large spaces above and below deck, with a wide cockpit and a large stern sun deck, electric stern transom, a fixed table that can host several people and that is protected by the fixed Bimini, as well as an interior living room well above the average, just like a 100’, four double cabins for guests and a separated kitchen with washer-dryer, dishwasher and extractor hood. Among its key features, we find: retractable anchor, very large side decks, self-tacking jib, primary winches away from guests and hydraulic commands on push-buttoms.

Between 2020 and 2019, WHITE DUMBO underwent the following upgrades: hull entirely repainted; new North Sails sails in Soft Norlan; overhauling of 2 watermakers and update of their electronic components; new washer-dryer; new batteries; new air conditioning system; maintenance of winch and hydraulic cylinders. “WHITE DUMBO” has been under the care of only one owner, it is in excellent conditions and very well accessorized: bow thruster, lifting keel, self-tacking jib, generator, new air conditioning, new batteries, 2 fridges, dishwasher, bathroom staircase, Hi-Fi system with outdoor speakers and Home Theatre. The shipyard

Vismara was founded in 1984 by Alessandro Vismara, naval architect graduated in YachtDesign from the Southampton College of Higher Education, in England, with a post graduation in Applied Aerodynamics and Sailing Boat Performance Prediction. Vismara has always invested and believed in research and technology as tools to express its design philosophy, aiming to lightness and performances as much for cruiser-racers as for luxury-cruisers. Research and technology found application in interior design, to affirm the concept of aesthetic architectural ambivalence of materials. As a matterof fact, the great part of Vismara’s projects presents interiors and structural decors, as well as exposed materials and architectural components.
Also in the use of informatics tools and programs, from those for prediction to those for 3D simulation, the Vismara is at the forefront and it collaborates with the research consortium ICAD of FlorenceUniversity, of which it has been founder member. The scientific approach to planning has always allowed Vismara’s boats to be innovative and provided with technological solutions never ending in themselves, but rather aimed at security at seaand comfort.Vismara has for instance been amongst the first boat yard to have in view canting keels and rotating wing masts on cruiser yachts.
