Comet 45 Race

The COMET 45 RACE differs from the S version because of an even more rigid and lighter Epoxy construction, flush sea cocks, composite bulkheads, carbon rudder and shaft, carbon mas and boom, T-shaped keel in ductile iron and lead torpedo-shaped bulb. Launched in 2007, in the version with 3 large cabins and 2 bathrooms, at first she stood out in Inshore races, by winning in 2008 both ORC world and Italian championships, as well as Capri Rolex Sailing Week. Always well maintained by her Owner, in 2021 the boat underwent the following works: check of hull & floor timbers with ultrasounds and thermoscanner, new bulb with cast iron blade and lead torpedo, new removable bowplate, mast inspected with ultrasounds and repainted, new Nitronic 50 rod rigging, deck rapinted and treated with antiskid, total refit of interior woods, new mirrors and taps in bathrooms. In 2020 new customizations and equipment were added: new NKE electronics, new UBI MAIOR Jiber TX jib furler, new Armaore forestay in PBO and new removable Carbonway bowsprit in carbon fiber. In 2019, 3 mast jumbos and a new GPS were installes, moreover the 45 Race was optimized for Offshore races and won the ROMA X2 (she was the winner in the 2020 edition too)
