Coraisle, former Markanto and Pamara, is a magnificent 24mt motor yacht built in 1933 by the historic Scottish shipyard James N. Miller & Sons, active in St Monans from the end of 1700 to 1995. The construction is in pitch pine planking on solid oak ribs and teak deck. Designed by George Lennox Watson, the same Yacht Designer of Britannia, the royal sail yacht that belonged to King Edward VII. Once built, Coraisle was purchased by Joseph Cyrus Baumford, who later became Lord Baumford, owner of JCB (the second manufacturer of earthmoving machines in the world, after Caterpillar). Baumford renamed the yacht Markanto, an anagram of his children names: Marco and Antonio. During the Second World War, this yacht was used to transfer British authorities to the boats moored on the Thames estuary, including Winston Churchill. After 1959, the yacht changed various owners, the first of whom was Lord Latymore, who renamed the yacht Pamara and utilized it for luxury charter cruises across the Mediterranean. In 1960, Coraisle underwent an extensive overhaul under the supervision of London Lloyds. In 1974, this yacht was purchased by the English financial mogul Cyril Graham, who renamed it “Coraisle”. Later on, it was purchased by a renowned Italian entrepreneur specialized in wooden furniture, who restored the yacht again over a period of several years.

Nowadays, Coraisle is a classic motor yacht with 2x 1998 Daewoo Diesel engines (140 HP), well-maintained and well-distributed interiors with 4 comfortable cabins, 4 bathrooms (one with bathtub), separated kitchen, wide dinette on the main deck and a huge solarium on the Fly. There are also 2 double cabins for the crew, with WC and dedicated kitchen. Coralisle underwent an extensive refitting in 2016: total caulking of 1st and 2nd decks; replacement of transom and sternpost, nailing and caulking of the entire hull; repainting of sides, all bilge pumps and superstructure. Finally, Coralisle is equipped with every comfort, such as: autopilot, generator, Air-Conditioning, and so on. View brochure
