COMET 45 “EX LIBERTINE”

The COMET 45 is a highly successful Fast Cruiser, greatly appreciated both for cruising and racing. The Race version differs from the S (sport) version for her stiffer and lighter construction in epoxy resin, composite bulkheads, shaft and rudder blade as well as the carbon mast and boom, and the T-keel with spheroidal cast iron fin and lead bulb, featuring flush sea intakes. The COMET 45 “Ex Libertine” is famous for her victories both in inshore and offshore races; she’s truly a yacht of great success under all conditions and types of use, from family cruising thanks to her large cockpit, generous lockers, and refined interior finishes, to high-performance sailing with spacious and comfortable cabins.

The COMET 45 “Ex Libertine” is also very well equipped with 3 Jumbo displays on the mast and 2 on the deckhouse, electric winch, solar panel, complete set of sails, NKE electronics with autopilot, and LED interior lighting. Among her racing results: first place at the ROMA X 2 in 2022, 2020 & 2019, and ORCi World Champion 2008. In 2024 the following works were carried out: mast tuning, new carbon bowsprit, new hull wrapping. In 2021, a thorough refit included: complete replacement of the keel, unstepping and painting of the mast, replacement of the standing rigging, and repainting of the deck with new non-skid coating.
