The Solaris 53 was designed by Douglas Peterson and, from the very beginning, it was planned out to last long time. The Solaris 53 has very elegant lines, characterized by a signature deckhouse that guarantees extraordinary brightness and airiness. The hull, in sandwich, was designed to guarantee comfort during long sailings. Its luxury interiors are well-planned; good layout and a spacious, bright stern master cabin with large, separated beds, and a large bathroom with separated shower. Inside the Solaris 53 we also find two saloons with dual stations and table, a large chart area, a spacious kitchen, twin bow cabins with converging bathroom and, at bow end, a sail locker with crew cabin and WC. It is sloop-rigged, with an imposing mainsail, as well as the possibility to rig a fore stay and obtain a cutter-rig. Sailing with a Solaris is a real pleasure, and it’s synonym with safety. Even in bad weather conditions, the Solaris 53 sails safely in the rough sea, thus conveying a sense of safety typical of larger boats. Lastly, the Solaris 53 oozes luxury and elegance, as well as excellent marine qualities and manufacturing care.

Solaris Yachts (formerly known as SeRiGi) was founded at the beginning of the 70s in Aquileia, a small town in North-Eastern Italy with a centuries-old maritime heritage, by Rinaldo Punti and Luigi De Cesco. In the 70s & 80s, the shipyard started to collaborate with designers whose boats are still big names in the second-hand market, such as Frans Maas, Sparkman & Stephens, and Doug Peterson. At that same time, SeRiGi shipyard produced the first 72 footers with Deck House, designed by Doug Peterson and intended for ocean crossings. Composite production and the new epoxy, Kevlar and carbon technologies were the highlights of the shipyard innovation in the following decades. Those were the years of Bruce Farr’s 52” IMS “Mascalzone Latino”, Doug Peterson’s Solaris 72 DH, Bill Tripp’s Solaris 60 and Vallicelli’s Solaris 55 Open. Relying on more than 40 years of experience in yacht building, Solaris Yachts manufactures high-quality sailing yachts between 37 and 72, with the first 100′ currently under construction, as well as Solaris Power yachts from 48′ on, that are a true blend of technology, solidity and a rich craftsmanship tradition.
