HALLBERG RASSY 42E

The HALLBERG RASSY 42E is a prestigious Blue Water Cruiser, a symbol of Scandinavian building excellence. Designed for long-distance sailing in total safety, she combines a stable and seaworthy hull with elegant and timeless lines. The protected deck and center cockpit ensure comfort and security even in rough seas, while the solid teak interior reflects the unmistakable Hallberg-Rassy style. The perfect balance between performance and strength makes her ideal for demanding owners seeking reliability, comfort, and autonomy for ocean passages. The HALLBERG RASSY 42E was built from 1980 to 1991 in 255 units. Initially offered only with a ketch rig, a sloop version was later introduced featuring a taller mast and larger genoa sheet winches. The HR 42 designed by Enderlein is the largest true “voyager” in the Hallberg-Rassy family: the center cockpit and limited number of cabins ensure the privacy required for life on board, while the generous storage capacity and substantial water and fuel autonomy allow for long passages.

This HALLBERG RASSY 42E is a renowned offshore sailing yacht designed by Enderlein & Rassy and built in 1982, hull no. 47. The yacht has had only two very attentive owners and has belonged to the same family since 1993. She has sailed exclusively in the Adriatic Sea and has always been meticulously maintained. Powered by a 100 HP Volvo Penta engine, replaced in 2003, she also features Raymarine electronics updated in 2021, a new longer Selden boom with full-batten mainsail and lazy jacks, and an updated anchoring system installed in 2023, making her ready to sail. The teak deck was professionally replaced in 2005 and remains in very good condition. Her semi-long keel ensures comfort and stability in all sailing conditions, while the bow thruster provides easy maneuverability in port. Below deck, she offers excellent liveability, with a spacious custom central double berth aft, a large bathroom with ceramic sink and WC, and beautifully crafted mahogany interiors that show a gentle and elegant patina of time. More recently, in 2024 the sprayhood was replaced, and the propeller shaft seal was renewed in 2023. Ready to sail. VIEW BROCHURE
