First 44.7

The FIRST 44.7, designed by Farr Yacht Design studio and manufactured from 2004 to 2007, was the successor of the First 40.7, a still successful racer, but with a hull more similar to the lines of the First 47.7. The 44.7 is highly maneuverable, but it also guarantees good power and excellent balance.
The First 44.7 was launched in 2005 with white hull and it has been always meticulously maintained by her only one owner.
This boat was utilized especially for races, but she is also perfectly equipped for cruising. Therefore, this model is ideal for those who enjoy regattas at excellent levels, but also want a comfortable cruising boat that offers good marine qualities, as well as high performance and comfort.
The First 44.7 is also equipped with: carbon Hallspar mast, carbon bowsprit and spinnaker pole, many different sails (2014-2019) including a Cod 0 with Ubi Maior furler, furling staysail, jib furler + Lazy Bag + jib cover, 3 mast jumbos, autopilot with remote control, Hi-Fi system with outdoor speakers.
Original hull and water lines with realignment of carbon rudder and keel. Electronic instrumentation upgraded in 2018 with B&G chartplotter with touch screen and AIS.

From 2005 to 2012, the First 44.7 took part in Ligurian Sea Winter Championships and long regattas (Cozzi Cup, Rolex Giraglia, 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar, Coppa Dallorso, RomaxTutti, Tre Golfi and Middle Sea Race), with excellent results.
The rig was modified in 2015, in order to take part in regattas with a x2 crew (jib furler with oversize Facnor swivel, Full-Batten mainsail with Antal travelers, bowsprit for the gennaker); the First 44.7 kept on taking part in double-handed long regattas (Regata dei Cetacei/Regatta of Cetaceans, Regata dell’Accademia Navale – first place in 2020 and third place in 2021 – Romax2, La lunga bolina, Tre Golfi, 151 Miglia.Trofeo Cetilar, Rolex Giraglia).
