CARIBBEAN

The Caribbean is an ideal destination for a sailing holiday: the region is safe to explore and the weather conditions are optimal for navigation thanks to the presence of warm winds and a particularly calm sea. Thanks to the many islands to visit, the endless white sand beaches, the suggestive hidden bays and an incredibly varied marine fauna, the Caribbean Sea offers all the elements necessary for a truly idyllic sailing holiday.

The Leeward Islands (Virgin Islands, Antigua, St Martin and Guadalupe) are the northernmost islands of the Lesser Antilles , part of the Caribbean West Indies. They are located right where the Caribbean Sea meets the western Atlantic Ocean. They are defined Leeward Islands because the prevailing winds in the area blow from the east, therefore these islands are located leeward, i.e. in a more sheltered position, compared to the so-called Windward Islands , the group of islands that first meets the trade winds. The Windward Islands are so called because the prevailing trade winds in the West Indies blow from east to west. The transatlantic currents and winds that provided the fastest route across the ocean brought ships to the peremptory dividing line between the Windward and Leeward Islands. The Windward Islands are Martinique (French West Indies) and all the other islands that are part of the Commonwealth of Nations: Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada .

The best destinations for your charter:
St Vincent and the Grenadines are characterized not only by magnificent beaches, by an exotic and luxuriant vegetation, by extraordinary waterfalls and by the active volcano La Soufrière, with its 1250 meters of slopes accessible by hiking enthusiasts .

Of volcanic origin like all the islands of the arc of the Lesser Antilles, Saint Lucia stands out for its enchanting white beaches, alternating with inlets and small hidden bays surrounded by palm trees and the famous volcanic formations of Pitons. On a cultural level, the vibrant Creole heritage is reflected in all aspects of daily life, as well as in the local gastronomy.
St Martin and St Barth are known for their glamor and for the "joie de vivre" that blends French colonial heritage with Caribbean charm. These are luxury destinations for those who love to be pampered during their sailing holiday. The Turks and Caicos Islands are a favorite destination for honeymooners, with deserted beaches and crystal clear waters where whales swim, while a swim with stingrays in the cooler Cayman Islands is a unmissable experience for any yacht charter or charter on a sailboat or catamaran. Finally, among the most popular destinations for a sailing holiday in the Caribbean, we find the British Virgin Islands and the splendid Virgin Gorda and Tortola , among the most beautiful beaches of the Sea of Caribbean, where you can dive into the shallow waters to discover the many sea caves.
