Cantiere CANTIERI DI PISA
Heartfelt performances and determination can bring people and brands to success.
The Cantieri di Pisa brand, with its long tradition, is a leader in the motor yachts construction. The Group’s strategic vision looks back on its tradition and looks forward to innovation to guarantee comfort and high quality standards. The brand story
Cantieri di Pisa starts its activity in 1945. At the very beginning, it realizes boats for military and civil fields. During the ‘50s, the brand is well-known as “Cantiere Navale Italiano a Porta a Mare di Pisa” while the new naming belongs to the 70s. In this decade, Cantieri di Pisa, launches the first boats of the Akhir line, becoming a reference point in the motor yachts construction. The Akhir line is a milestone in the nautical construction field, anyway Cantieri di Pisa realises even some models of sailing boats, especially during its first activity’s years. Some of these sailing boats are:Tyrsa (1957), Capitano Black/RO-RO (1958-59), VAL II (1959) and KALEA (ex VAL III) in 1965.The strong personality of the Akhir Line
The Akhir line has become the symbol of the entire Cantieri di Pisa production. The first model is a 16 meters cruiser with strict and essential lines entirely designed by Pier Luigi Spadolini, that will later design all Akhir-branded models. The success of the Akhir 16, and the desire to respond to more specialized demands, led to the production, in 1976, of the Akhir 19 and Akhir 20, two yachts that were similar to the 1972 model, except for a different positioning and a wider interior distribution. They were followed by the Akhir 30 in 1977, a 30-mt that confirmed Pier Luigi Spadolini’s designing skills as a reference point for the entire industry. In 1979 the Akhir 18 was introduced, with a very innovative design, while in 1986 the Akhir 22 S was created, as a sports version of the 22. In 1990, the Akhir 40 was introduced, another masterpiece designed by Spadolini. In the following decades, from 1995 to more recent years, larger and larger models were created, such as: Akhir 85, 105, 110, 135, 145 and 153.Cantieri di Pisa today
Currently, the shipyard has produced about 600 boats. The brand is synonym of modernism and quality. Its success is due to the ability to merge together tradition and innovation. The Cantieri di Pisa historic team of mechanics, carpenters, architects and technicians collaborates perfectly with the brand new partners who bring innovative and modern solutions inside the company. This cooperation is a guarantee of a timeless quality.Visits from 09 July 2018: 2,269
