Modello CCYD 58
CCYD 58
The CCYD 58 takes up the lines of the CCYD 55, the second model produced by the yard after the 75 footer, as well as its best-known model. From 55 the deck features an unusual cut, almost Flush Deck, with teak slats in different orientations and a fairly high free edge, for a sensation of compactness that does not go unnoticed.
As with the 55, the CCYD58 is also built in steel, with a mobile bayonet centerboard that emerges from a accentuated false keel. The quality level of the systems is truly high, with large spaces available to access and work on the engine from all sides and in complete comfort. The interiors of the CCYD 58 also reflect the very high quality of the workmanship and the use of quality materials.

Cantiere CCYD
CCYD
The CCYD (Construction Charter Yacht Diporto) shipyard was founded in the 1970s by Gianfranco Padoan, a great sailing enthusiast; the first boat was built using a VAGABOND 53 shell, it was for personal use and was called KRIKEPA.
Later the shipyard built in steel and towards the end in aluminum (very little in fibreglass). The models were mainly motorsailers and large sails apart from a 65' displacement motoryacht the CCYD 200 in steel with fiberglass superstructures designed by Tommaso Spadolini of which two examples were built, and a fiberglass open with surface propellers, the ASTRAL 135; (1 copy). Padoan later sold the shipyard to Gianni Varasi, and then ended up under the control of the Rolla Group.
The CCYD shipyard, active between 1979 and 1992, was famous for the construction of custom ocean-going schooners from 18 to 36 m, high quality boats of considerable size for the time, built mainly in steel and with the highest standards of the Lloyd class. Over 15 years, approximately 30 units were produced. The largest is a 120' - 38 m, sloop-rigged and launched for a Japanese shipowner in 1990, designed by Ron Holland with interiors by Spadolini, which boasts a record of ocean crossings (ELECTA ex IL DOGE) and was recently sold.
