History

  SANLORENZO shipyard was founded by Gianfranco Cecchi and Giuliano Pecchia in 1958, in Limite sull’Arno, near Florence. At present, the headquarter is in Ameglia (near La Spezia). The shipyard launched its first fiberglass yachts in the ‘80s, such as the Sanlorenzo 57. In 1995, the shipyard made its debut in the superyacht industry with the first Sanlorenzo 100. The shipyard is characterized by a production limited to just a few units per year, designed and built in line with the requests and the style of each owner. The high number of awards won in the last few years witness Sanlorenzo’s renowned excellence: World Superyacht Award for the first 40Alloy and SD122, as well as the ADI Italian Innovation Award for the first SL104. In 2014, Sanlorenzo became the second largest builder in the world for the production of yachts over 24 meters, according to the prestigious Global Order Book ranking. Currently, the production is split in the following lines: SL (78’-118’), SD LINE (92’-126’) e SUPERYACHTS LINE (40Alloy-64Steel).
