HALLBERG RASSY 42

The HALLBERG RASSY 42 is a prestigious Blue Water Cruiser, a true symbol of Scandinavian boatbuilding excellence. Designed for long-distance sailing in total safety, she combines a stable, seaworthy hull with elegant and timeless lines. The protected deck and center cockpit ensure comfort and safety even in heavy seas, while the solid teak interior reflects the unmistakable Hallberg-Rassy style. The balance between performance and robustness makes her ideal for demanding owners seeking reliability, comfort, and autonomy on long passages.

The Hallberg-Rassy 42 was produced in two main versions: Hallberg-Rassy 42E (Enderlein), built between 1980 and 1991 with about 255 units launched; and Hallberg-Rassy 42F (Frers), built between 1991 and 2001 with about 181 units produced. According to Magnus Rassy himself, the Enderlein-designed HR 42 is the greatest “traveller” of the Hallberg-Rassy family: the center cockpit and limited number of cabins ensure the privacy needed for living aboard, while the remarkable storage capacity and autonomy in water and fuel make her perfect for long passages.

The HALLBERG RASSY 42 is well equipped, featuring: teak deck, generator, diesel heating, hydraulic furling system, hydraulic winches, autopilot, two double cabins with ensuite bathrooms, convertible dinette with four berths, fully equipped galley, and Hi-Fi system. Among the most recent maintenance and upgrades: new teak deck in 2020, and new engine installed in 2011.
