Faithful to his vocation for beautiful and fun boats, Umberto Felci has designed a brilliant and reactive 12-metre for fast cruising. Equipped with an aluminum mast rigged at 9/10 and with two rows of swept spreaders, the Dufour 40 Performance is equipped with discontinuous spiral rigging, removable drum furler, mechanical backstay adjuster and rigid vang. The very balanced sail plan – the two sails have the same surface – features a classic rigging mainsail and a 130% furling genoa, whose sheet points are positioned rather internally. Going below deck one is amazed by the volumes: the abundant heights together with the contained flaring of the sides make the interiors of the Dufour 40 very spacious.
