The brand story

  Azimut Srl company was founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli, a young boy passionate about sailing. At the very beginning the company focused on the rental of sailing boats.   During the 70’s Azimut Yachts changed its core business and started to deliver in Italy boats produced by other famous brands. Moreover it started to design and produce its own motor yachts.   Thanks also to the joint venture with Amerglass brand, Azimut Yachts launched on the market AZ 43’ Bali motor yacht that was really successful. The following boats are unforgettable:

• AZ 32’ Targa (1977)
• Azimut 105’ Faiaka (1982)

  During the 80’s, Azimut Yachts acquired the Italian shipyard Benetti and focused on the construction of innovative motor boats and mega yachts. At the end of 90’s the company acquired new shipyards in Fano and opened a shipbuilding plant in Piemonte (North of Italy) and one in Brazil. Today Azimut Yachts is an international leader in the nautical market for motor yachts and mega yachts.
