Cantiere PIANTONI

History

Piantoni shipyard opened its doors in 1906 in Predore (Bergamo) on the shores of Lake Iseo, in northern Italy. The shipyard was first named Cantiere Piantoni Pietro e Figli and later changed its name to Cantiere Navale F.lli Piantoni SRL. From the 1960s to the early 1990s, he was very active in the construction of motorboats and cruiser type boats, initially built in wood.   Subsequently, the shipyard also specialized in the production of Open and Fly in fiberglass. The models built by the shipyard include: Piantoni 46 Open, 63, Amalfi, Amalfi Open, Evolution 39, Fantasy 45, Harmony 42, Hurricane, Onda Blu, Ondazzurra Fly, Ondazzurra Open, Open 40 and Starfish. The shipyard ceases production of boats in 1992, however it is still active in the Predore site, on Lake Iseo, for storage, launching, hauling, mechanical, engine and electronic repairs; upholstery work; fiberglass and wood works.
