In 1969, Mario Amati, founder of Cantieri Navali di Roma shipyard and designer of the Itama brand, conceived a great idea that lasted for years: to create new-generation motoryachts that were also very agile and powerful, with a very special added value: a timeless style. The name of the brand, Itama, is simply the Italian word “Amati” (loved ones) backwards. This is how the Cantieri Navali di Roma history’s began, in the ‘70s. The shipyard soon gathered a large number of fans and Itama powerboats became a cult object.In 2004, the shipyard was acquired by Ferretti Group through Pershing Ltd. Nowadays, Itama boats are built in Ferretti’s plants in Forlì, where local skilled workers and Ferretti Group Engineering’s team manufacture these world-famous white and blue open yachts. The brand flagship, the Itama 75, is manufactured in Mondolfo’s plant. Among the iconic models manufactured by the shipyard, we find the Itama 38, 45, 50, 55, 62, 75, Fifty and Forty.
