CNB

CNB (Construction Navale Bordeaux) was founded in 1987 by Dieter Gust and Olivier Lafourcade on the site of the former Chantiers et Ateliers du Sud-Ouest, known for having built the 5-masted FRANCE II in 1911 (at the time, the largest motorsailer never built).

In 1992 he joined the Bénéteau group; the shipyard is mainly dedicated to the construction of catamarans, while in 1994 the first motor boat was built. The CNB shipyard is one of the very few shipyards to build both Maxi and Mini Maxi Yachts in series.

In 2021, the Bénéteau group sold the CNB brand to Solaris Yachts, which declared that it did not want to change the philosophy of the shipyard and to continue on the series construction line, alongside other large projects built under the Solaris brand. The success of the CNB is given by the care taken in construction and the relative speed of delivery; the shipyard essentially builds two models CNB 66 and CNB 76, the latter is the best-selling Maxi in the world (around 25 sailing units).
