The GRAND SOLEIL 42 is the 3-cabin, 2-bathroom version, and is very well-equipped, with a teak deck, solar panel, bowsprit, full-batten mainsail with carts, upgraded Raymarine electronics, autopilot, LED lighting inside and out, internal/external GPS, bimini top, sprayhood, removable cockpit table, and a Hi-Fi system with external speakers. In 2024, the saildrive was replaced. In 2023, the electronics were completely upgraded. In 2022, the batteries were replaced. In 2021, the autopilot was overhauled. In 2019, the cockpit teak was renewed, and the 3-blade Max Prop propeller was overhauled.
