Cantiere RIO

History

 “Avionautica Rio” was founded in 1961 on the shores of Iseo Lake. Initially the company manufactured gliders and beautiful mahogany motorboats with Chris Craft and Rolls-Royce engines. In the ‘70s, the shipyard decided to take a leap from handicraft to industrial production; those were the years of the Rio 310, true icon of the time, with more than 50,000 units manufactured. Now called RIO YACHTS, the shipyard is also the supplier of the Italian Carabinieri, with more than 200 patrol boats delivered. At present, the shipyard manufactures 9 different models from 10 to 18 meters.
