The Hatteras Yachts shipyard was founded in 1959 in Cape Hatteras, in a patch of land overlooking the ocean in North Carolina. The creator of the Hatteras Yachts brand was Willis Slane who wanted to create a new type of fishing boat. Today the company produces yachts of excellent construction and famous all over the world. In 2001, the shipyard was acquired by the Brunswick Boat Group, a group established in 2000 to manage the over 45 nautical brands acquired by the Brunswick Corporation, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, including Sea Ray, Cabo Yachts and Boston Whaler.Fishing Boats
