Composite Works
Composite Works is a French shipyard specialized in the construction and refit of luxury yachts, based in La Ciotat. The shipyard was founded in 1998 by Ben Mennen, a renowned expert and captain of the yachts owned by the famous Italian lawyer Gianni Agnelli. Mennen personally oversaw the operations, playing a significant role in the development and success of the shipyard. His extensive experience and leadership were key in establishing the yard’s reputation for excellence.
Renowned for its advanced use of composite materials, the shipyard has produced iconic vessels such as the 71-meter M/Y Enigma XK, a former icebreaker transformed into a luxury yacht, the 54-meter S/Y Pink Gin VI, known for its lightness and sailing performance, and the S/Y Quinta Santa Maria. Composite Works is also famous for refitting prestigious yachts like the M/Y Madame Gu. Innovation, advanced technologies, and customized designs are the cornerstones of the shipyard, which stands out for its attention to detail and functionality without compromising luxury. In 2017, it was acquired by the Spanish group MB92, a leader in megayacht refit and maintenance.
