Benetti tugboat 29 mt
The San Gennaro is a 29-meter Benetti tugboat, built in 1964, and converted from a working vessel into a pleasure yacht. The project by Lenci Marine involved the complete renovation of the superstructure, which was expanded, and of the main deck, to create a lounge; as well as the dining room and kitchen. On the upper deck, a large wheelhouse and the owner's cabin were built, while below deck, three guest cabins and a laundry room were added. The crew is housed in two double cabins located aft of the engine room. The interior furnishings are entirely made of teak, as is the decking of the three decks.
The conversion involved a total overhaul, with all systems being renewed and the engine room completely refurbished, allowing the original engine, a 1,050-horsepower Man with 360 rpm, to be preserved. The Benetti tugboat is equipped with a Kort nozzle for the propellers. The conversion work was carried out at the Ortona Navi shipyard on the Adriatic coast, with the launch taking place in 2005.
The Benetti San Gennaro tugboat is a symbol of Italian naval history and offers exceptional safety and comfort, like the “Prometej” tugboat owned by Alberta Ferretti and the “Sant’Andrea,” once owned by Bud Spencer, both converted into extremely comfortable motor yachts.
