HALLBERG RASSY 42

The Hallberg-Rassy 42E is a highly respected bluewater cruising yacht and a true icon of Scandinavian craftsmanship. Designed for safe and comfortable long-distance sailing, she combines a stable, seaworthy hull with elegant, timeless lines. Her protected centre cockpit offers outstanding comfort and security in challenging conditions, while the beautifully crafted solid mahogany interior reflects the unmistakable Hallberg-Rassy tradition. Her balance of sailing performance, strength and comfort makes her an ideal choice for discerning owners seeking reliability and autonomy for extended cruising.

Built between 1980 and 1991 in 255 hulls, the Hallberg-Rassy 42E is renowned for her clean flush deck design. Numerous examples have completed circumnavigations, confirming her reputation as one of the finest offshore cruising yachts of her generation. She was initially offered exclusively as a ketch, before the introduction of the sloop version, featuring a taller mast and larger genoa sheet winches.

This Hallberg-Rassy 42E, Hull No. 20, was designed by Enderlein & Rassy and launched in 1981. Between 2025 and 2026, she underwent an extensive refit including: new sails, new air conditioning system throughout, watermaker installation, new sprayhood, new interior sofas and mattresses, new cockpit cushions, new washing machine, LED lighting throughout, new curtains and blinds, new 100 m anchor chain with Rocna anchor, Smart TV, and polishing of the topsides and transom. In 2023, she also received a new engine.

She is exceptionally well equipped with teak decks, bow thruster, generator, watermaker, air conditioning, electro-hydraulic headsail furler, two electro-hydraulic winches, full-batten mainsail, stainless-steel dinghy davits, two double cabins each with en-suite head, fully equipped galley, LED interior and navigation lights, TV in the saloon, and Hi-Fi entertainment system.
