About the Bavaria Yachts
Bavaria Yachtbau was founded by Winfried Herrman and Josef Meltl in 1978 in Giebelstadt (Bavaria, Germany) and it radically changed th sailing world with sturdy, quality sailboats with an excellent quality-price ration, that allowed the shipyard to become a true innovative leader in the field of mass-produced boats. As from 2001, the shipyard started to manufacture motor boats and it achieved instant success in this market segment too, while in 2014 the company made its debut in the fast-growing catamaran sector with the acquisition of the French builder Nautitech Catamarans. Currently, Bavaria Yachtbau relies on 2 production plants: Germany-based Giebelstadt (600 employees, manufacture of sail and motor boats) and French-based Rochefort (250 employees, manufacture of catamarans). Motor boats production is split in the following lines: R-Line (from 41 to 54 feet); S-Line (from 28 to 45 feet) and Virtress Line (40.7 feet). Sail boats production is split in the following lines: C-Line, designed by Maurizio Cossutti (from 45 to 57 feet); Cruiser Line (from 34 to 41 feet); Cruiser Style (46 and 51 feet); Vision Line (42 and 46 feet) and Easy 9.7. For what concerns catamarans, the production includes Nautitech models from 40 to 54 feet. The ownership of Bavaria Yachtbau officially passed to the Capital Management-Partners GmbH (CMP) in September 2018.
